Volkswagen's ID. Family Takes Center Stage

Volkswagen recently illuminated the electric vehicle landscape by showcasing its entire U.S. electric vehicle (EV) lineup at The Amelia, captivating attendees with the ID.4, ID.7, and ID. Buzz. These models embody Volkswagen's forward-thinking approach to electrification, underpinned by a rich legacy that traces back to the iconic twin-engine Golf of the 1987 Pikes Peak Hill Climb.

The ID.4, recognized as the fifth best-selling EV in the U.S. for 2023, has set a formidable precedent for the brand's electric ambitions. Meanwhile, the ID.7 and ID. Buzz are eagerly anticipated, with their market debut slated for later this year.

Mark Gillies, Volkswagen Group of America's Director of Public Relations and Reputation, highlighted the enthusiastic reception of the EVs, especially the ID. Buzz, underscoring the growing appeal of electric mobility among American consumers. This sentiment is echoed in the electric vehicle presentation at the Concours, where Volkswagen's ID. Buzz and ID.7 shared the stage with both established car brands and industry newcomers.

The ID.7 sedan, poised to launch in the latter part of the year, represents the zenith of Volkswagen's EV range. Offering both rear- and all-wheel-drive configurations, the ID.7 is a synthesis of luxury and technology. It boasts an array of advanced features, including a 15-inch infotainment screen, Augmented Reality Head-up Display, and a touch-controlled electro-chromic sunroof, setting a new standard for electric sedans.

The ID. Buzz, on the other hand, reimagines the iconic Microbus for the electric era. Extended to accommodate three rows of seating, the ID. Buzz merges nostalgic design with modern functionality. Its spacious interior, customizable ambient lighting, and a host of optional features like the Head-up Display and remote parking make it a versatile family vehicle. Set to launch in 2024, the ID. Buzz is a tribute to Volkswagen's innovative spirit.

The ID.4 continues to garner acclaim for its seamless integration of electric technology, design, and value. The latest model introduces enhancements such as an upgraded infotainment system and a more powerful rear electric motor, alongside an improved range that underscores Volkswagen's commitment to sustainable mobility.

Through the unveiling of its EV family at The Amelia, Volkswagen not only showcases its latest electric offerings but also reaffirms its dedication to pioneering an electrified future, all while paying homage to its storied past.
